Dates not copied correctly
« on: June 02, 2012, 05:19:07 pm »
Moved Email from Gmail to Yahoo and the Email is showing up as current date and time.
I was under the impression the date/time information would be correct.
Thanks

Figured out the issue is with Yahoo webmail.
- it displays the date of when the message was added and not the datestamp in the message.
- if I connect to the account with an IMAP client, it displays the date correctly.
- Placed a enhancement request with Yahoo to change the webmail interface.

Please consider this issue resolved.

Yes, this is something we've noticed as well recently.  Up until a few weeks ago, this wasn't a problem, but it looks like an update on their end causes newly-transferred messages to show the upload time instead.

We appreciate you notifying Yahoo about this; hopefully if/when they put in a fix it'll be retroactive, and not just apply to transfers that happen after the fix.
